ABOUT YOU:

An individual who gives excellent customer service and wants to prepare/serve the highest quality food. You will be working with an amazing team of biscuiteers and we are looking for those who’s a team player. Must be 17 years of age or older. Experience in food service is preferred, but not required.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Greeting customers, working the registers, beverage station and preparing and serving hot hand-made biscuits, grits, and southern staples according to our recipes and standards. We are looking for full-time and part-time positions.

You are quick, diligent and willing to improve on the job. You will be deft and able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are looking for an ambitious Line Cook to assist in the preparation of making biscuits and other unique dishes in the kitchen. The position is responsible for performing routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes.

 

Dishwasher

Her goal was to make the tender, buttery, made-by-hand biscuits of her mother accessible across the country. Over 15 years later, Callie’s goes by a new name, Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit, and is widely recognized as an iconic Southern brand with national retail exposure and a cult-like following.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition. This position sweeps and mops bakery floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards. The Dishwasher removes trash and places it in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans when needed.

 

Artisan Baker  

Position Summary:

As a Baker, you will rotate throughout several kitchen tasks that are required within the production of our products, while adhering to food safety and quality procedures. The purpose of this role is to assist the bakers by completing tasks that interrupt the flow of production. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary based on business needs. On occasion, and based on order demands, this position may require extended and/or weekend hours, especially during the holiday months.

Primary Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Read, understand, and follow recipes
  • Loading and unloading baking ovens
  • Sealing, labeling, and packaging product
  • Consolidating and rotating product
  • Put away food order deliveries
  • Keep bakery clean and organized at all times; restock workstations as needed
  • Wash dishes; clean and sanitize equipment and storage areas
  • Ensure daily cleaning and sanitizing of the bakery is complete
  • Consistently apply company procedures per the employee handbook, company policies, and health & safety regulations
  • Follow all food safety procedures

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must enjoy a fast-paced environment
  • Requires frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs
  • Requires frequent bending, stooping, and twisting
  • Most duties are performed while standing
  • Requires repetitive motion with hands and arms
  • Exposure to various temperature changes

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in a bakery is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to understand the proper procedures during production
  • Able to read, write, and demonstrate general math skills
  • Knowledgeable of food safety practices, and proper sanitation procedures
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work around order demands, including extended and weekend hours during peak seasons
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team​
